MIAMI (WFLA/NBC6) – Several middle school students in Miami were taken to the hospital after reportedly taking some pills.
NBC6 in Miami said the students go to Kinloch Park Middle School. They became ill Tuesday morning after they took the pills, officials said.
Miami Fire Rescue crews responded to the school at 4340 Northwest 3rd Street.
Seven students took the pills and four of those were taken to Miami hospitals, officials said. The other three were placed in the care of their parents.
The students were showing symptoms of tiredness and not feeling well, officials said.
Officials said one student brought the pills and gave them to the other six students.
The school board is investigating how the student got the pills and what they contained.
