ACC accuses Florida State of breaching contract and disclosing ‘trade secrets’ in amended lawsuit

The Atlantic Coast Conference accused Florida State of breach of contract, saying the Seminoles broke promises when they legally challenged an agreement that binds the school to the league for the next dozen years. The ACC initially sued the Florida State Board of Trustees in North Carolina in late December and asked a court to uphold the grant of rights as a valid and enforceable contract. The league amended its complaint Wednesday and alleged FSU violated the signed agreement when it chose to challenge the exclusive grant of rights.

Former ESPN sportscaster ejected from RV crash onto busy Southern California freeway and survives

Former ESPN sportscaster Cordell Patrick was ejected from an RV during a Southern California freeway crash this week and suffered multiple broken bones. Cordel described Monday’s crash in hospital interviews with Los Angeles-area TV stations. The crash happened Monday on California State Route 14 as Patrick and his wife were heading home after a camping trip. His wife was driving and Patrick said he just unbuckled his seatbelt to use the restroom when he noticed his wife had dozed off. Before he could grab the wheel, the RV hit a median divider wall and Patrick was thrown out a window. He says he’s thankful to have survived.
