SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — Every athlete on the U.S. Men’s Olympic Gymnastics roster will be competing in their first Olympics, except for Brody Malone.
“This is the highest pressure event of anyone’s life. I guess the pressure is definitely there but for me, I like to think of it as just another gymnastics competition that’s something I’m gonna make sure I relay to all the other guys on the team,” Malone said.
However, the chemistry between the group is something special and they believe they have a good shot at winning gold.
“This team has a chance this team has a chance to be on that medal podium, that’s obvious. They are super competitive and they’re super deep,” Team USA’s assistant coach Syque Caesar said.
Before the team leaves for France on Thursday, EVO Gymnastics in Sarasota gave a warm welcome home to its three Olympians — Brody Malone, Stephen Nedoroscik, and alternate Shane Wiskus — who train at the gym.
