TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — It’s national signing day across the country for high school athletes but one local football star in Tampa Bay is experiencing a full circle moment.
On Wednesday, Berkeley Preparatory defensive end Titus Bullard’s dreams came true. He’ll follow in his father’s footsteps, becoming a Gator and playing football for the University of Florida.
“It means everything. I’m truly blessed; thank you, God. I’ve been wanting this since I was a little kid, seeing my dad play, seeing my uncle play. My cousin goes there now,” Bullard said.
“To look back and see pictures of him as a baby, you know, with Gator onesies and everything else, and now he has the opportunity to go up and play with his cousin Myles Graham. It’s definitely a surreal moment. I was talking to Ernest [Graham] just saying, ‘Who would’ve ever imagined we would be in a position where both of our sons will be going to the University of Florida,” Bullard’s father, Thaddeus Bullard, also known as WWR superstar Titus O’Neil said.
Bullard was a huge part of Berkeley Prep’s success last season, leading the Buccaneers to a state championship title for the first time in program history.
Bullard is a preferred walk-on at UF and recorded 117 total tackles with 39 for a loss and 17.5 sacks over three seasons as a consistent varsity contributor at Berkeley Prep.
