TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — After defeating the Cincinnati Bengals in the preseason opener last week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers looked to expand their play while taking on one of their in-state rivals — the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Bucs and Jags wrapped up two days of joint camp practices ahead of Saturday night’s preseason matchup, with the final day showing mixed results following a pretty confident first day of practice.
During Thursday’s practice, Tampa’s quarterbacks threw three interceptions — one by starter Baker Mayfield and two by Kyle Trask.
Just like last week, Bucs’ head coach Todd Bowles said much of the starting lineup will be absent from the preseason game in Jacksonville; however, everyone will likely play in the finale against Tampa’s other Florida rival — the Miami Dolphins.
Saturday’s preseason matchup ended in defeat for the Bucs as they fell 20-7 to the Jaguars. Tampa Bay will be back in action on Friday as they welcome the Dolphins to Raymond James Stadium.
