TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on Sunday.
This meeting will mark the third time the Bucs and Lions have faced each other in a year. The Lions eliminated Tampa Bay in the divisional round of the playoffs last season.
“You never want to turn the ball over, but if you look at and I’m not an analytic guy by any means, but on the road stats, if you turn the ball over your chances of winning drop severely, so there always has to be a key point of emphasis, especially in an environment like that,” Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield said.
“They are talented all the way around. No question about it. It’s week two. I’m sure they will tell you the same thing. They can hurt you a lot of ways running the ball, throwing the ball, one of the receivers, ends or backs can hurt you too, so they’re very talented,” head coach Todd Bowles said.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
