HOUSTON (WFLA) – The New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons are set to kick off the big game at 6:30 p.m.
OVERTIME
The New England Patriots score the touchdown and win the game. This is Tom Brady’s fifth big win.

The New England Patriots win the coin toss and elect to receive the ball. Overtime rules are sudden death, unless the receiving team kicks a field goal, then the other team gets an attempt. Each team gets three timeouts. This is the first ever overtime game in big game history.
Fourth quarter
TOUCHDOWN New England. The two-point conversion is good. The game is tied 28-28.

The ruling on the field is confirmed. Atlanta is charged with their third and final timeout. Edelman with an amazing catch to move New England down the field. Two minute warning after another pass thrown by Brady to put his team near the 20-yard line.

Julian Edelman has what looks like an amazing catch with three Atlanta defenders trying to nab the interception. There’s a scuffle and Atlanta challenges the ruling of a good catch.

The Patriots have to drive 91-yards to score, then get the two-point conversion to tie the game. There is 3:17 left in the game.

Ryan connects to Julio Jones for a 27-yard completion with 4:11 left in the game.

Atlanta starts at the 10-yard line, but Devonta Freeman nabs a pass for a big gain with 5:07 left in the game.

TOUCHDOWN PATRIOTS. Brady then signals the team is going for two. The two-point conversion is good. The Patriots now only trail the Falcons 28-20.

Ryan is knocked down and fumbles the ball with 8:24 left to go in the game. The Patriots recover, but Brady is sacked on the first play of the drive.

Brady is sacked AGAIN for the third time this game. The Patriots get the field goal and trail the Falcons 28-12.

Brady is sacked once again 1st and goal with 11:20 left in the game.

The Atlanta Falcons are up 28-9 over the New England Patriots at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
Third quarter
Ryan IS sacked the next play, but keeps hold of the ball. Atlanta punts with :15 left in the quarter.

Ryan barely avoids being sacked, the Patriots fail to force a turnover with :52 left in the third quarter.

TOUCHDOWN! The Patriots finally find the end zone and put six points on the board after missing the extra point. 27-9 Falcons.

Brady runs for 15-yards, getting the first down with 4:16 left to go in the third.

The Patriots convert on fourth down with 5:45 left to go in the quarter. Still searching for the end zone.

Touchdown! The Falcons score their fourth touchdown of the game. Tevin Coleman gets it into the end zone. There is still 8:31 and a full quarter of football left to play.

The Falcons offensive continues to dominate with a huge pass from Ryan to Gabriel Taylor. The run after the play takes the Falcons to the 35-yard line.

The Patriots are still searching for their first touchdown. Falcons take a time-out with 12:57 left in the quarter.

Halftime
The Falcons won the coin toss and elected to receive the ball at the second half. Before that, however, Lady Gaga will rock Houston in the Pepsi Halftime show.
Second quarter
The Patriots get on the board with a field goal with two seconds remaining in the half. 21-3.

The Patriots take a time-out with :23 remaining in the half, still on the hunt for their first touchdown of the game.

Patriots have the ball at the two-minute warning.

INTERCEPTION and an 82-yard return for Atlanta with the pick six. The score is now 21-0. The Patriots just can’t seem to make out the Falcons’ defense.

Brady narrowly avoids being sacked a third time. A flag is thrown on the play after Brady throws it away. New England gets lucky and gets the automatic first down with six minutes left to play in the half. The Patriots are still working from mid-field to score their first touchdown of the game

Falcons are up 14-0 over the Patriots.

Atlanta continues deep into New England territory with ten minutes left in the half. Atlanta SCORES. Flag thrown against New England, so the touchdown stands.

New England just can’t seem to drive down the field and punt again.

Touchdown! The Falcons strike first in the big game. The point after is good. Atlanta leads the Patriots 7-0. There is 12:15 left in the first half.

Ryan throws to Julio Jones, putting them into Patriot’s territory for the first time this game.

We begin the second quarter scoreless with the ball in New England’s possession. Tom Brady fumbles the ball and Atlanta recovers.
First quarter
The big game is still scoreless with two minutes left in the first quarter.

Courtney Upshaw sneaks through and sacks Tom Brady. Brady’s then sacked AGAIN by Grady Jarrett. New England punts and a fair catch is called by the Falcons.

Tom Brady throws a big pass to Chris Hogan for the first down with 8:45 left in the quarter.

Matt Ryan is sacked for a loss of 12 yards. Play is not ruled to be a fumble. Atlanta punts with 10:30 left to go in the quarter.

Atlanta’s Devonta Freeman runs from the 8-yard line to the 45 in the Falcon’s first play of the game.

The Patriots receive the ball, but have to punt with 13:45 left to go.
