TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — When the Divisional Round of the NFL kicked off on Saturday afternoon, eight teams were left with Super Bowl aspirations. Now, there are four.

AFC Championship Game: Baltimore Ravens vs. Kansas City Chiefs

The AFC Championship game will see the Baltimore Ravens host the Kansas City Chiefs at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28 on CBS.

Both teams are coming off impressive wins from a week ago, with the Ravens dominating the Houston Texans in a 24-point win and the Chiefs eking out a back-and-forth shootout against the Buffalo Bills on the road.

The Chiefs are no strangers to late-season playoff pushes in the Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes era, having appeared in three out of the last four Super Bowls, winning two.

The 2024 NFL playoffs mark the 11th time the Ravens have made the postseason since head coach John "Florida Man" Harbaugh took over the team 16 years ago, with a victory against the 49ers in Super Bowl 47. The Ravens look to punch their first ticket to the big game in the Lamar Jackson era.

The Baltimore Ravens come into this game favored to win, with DraftKings having their opening odds at -3.

NFC Championship Game: San Fransico 49ers vs. Detroit Lions

The NFC Championship game will see the San Fransico 49ers host the Detroit Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28, on Fox.

Both teams are coming off close wins from a week ago, with the Lions edging out the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by eight points and the 49ers pulling off a late-game comeback to defeat the Green Bay Packers.

For the 49ers, this game is familiar territory, having appeared in Super Bowl 53 four years ago and appeared in four out of the last five NFC Championship games. The 49ers, however, are still searching for their first Super Bowl under Kyle Shanahan.

For the Lions, however, next week’s appearance in the NFC Championship game marks the franchise’s first Conference Championship game since 1991, nearly 33 years ago. The team has never made the Super Bowl.

The San Fransico 49ers come into the game favored to win, with DraftKings having their opening odds at -6.5.
