CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — Clearwater Olympian Bobby Finke has had a pretty good summer.
He brought home two medals from the Paris Olympics, and local celebrations have been well underway.
The 4-time Olympic medalist was set to throw out the first pitch at Friday’s Rays game.
Before that, What’s Hot in Paris’ Brooke Bennett sat down with Finke to talk about his whirlwind wins in the city of light.
Brooke: [What was the] best part of Paris outside of the pool?
Bobby: It was always hanging out with my teammates. Even like the training camps, we’d be playing Super Smash Bros on the Nintendo switch.
Brooke: What’s next for you Bobby?
Bobby: For me, I’m just going to keep swimming. I don’t know how long it’ll last hopefully beyond 2028.
Having this kind of development here, you know, active kids and really getting ourselves out there and being competitive with each other and promoting a healthy lifestyle. It’s truly amazing and what better area to do it in than, of course, Tampa.
