SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday the result of a long-term investigation that landed several individuals behind bars.
During a press conference, Sarasota County Sheriff Tom Knight said the investigation uncovered large amounts of methamphetamine, two guns and numerous illicit drugs.
Deputies said the investigation started in October 2018 after connecting 44-year-old Jennifer Lambert to the sale and distribution of methamphetamine. Lambert became known as “Mama Jen” and has drug arrests going back to 2013.
In April, deputies connected Lambert to seven individual drug transactions. At the end of the “Operation Ice Mama” investigation, deputies said 16 people were arrested, including Lambert.
