TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Mark your calendars, hockey fans!
The Tampa Bay Lightning released their 2024-25 regular season schedule on Tuesday, just a mere day after groundbreaking news was released that long-time forward and team captain Steven Stamkos would no longer be on the roster.
The Bolts’ upcoming season consists of 82 games, with the season opener kicking off against the Carolina Hurricanes on Oct. 11. The two teams will then face off again on Oct. 12 at AMALIE Arena for the Lightning’s home opener.
While the Lightning will NHL teams a minimum of two times, the most highly anticipated matchup is likely the Oct. 28 home matchup against the Nashville Predators, where Stamkos will return to Tampa for the first time since signing with his new team.
The Lightning will play the Predators in Nashville on Nov. 29, as well.
