Tampa mayor ‘pardons’ Tom Brady for park trespassing incident

TAMPA (WFLA) – Tampa Mayor Jane Castor has announced she has “pardoned” Buccaneers QB Tom Brady for last year’s park trespassing incident.

Brady was asked in April to leave a downtown Tampa park which at the time was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic after he was caught working out.

Castor joked on Twitter that “We couldn’t possibly let him go in to the big game with any baggage.”

Brady had a tough start with the Bucs in the spring at one point accidentally entering the wrong house in Tampa while attempting to meet with Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich on April 7.

Brady took to Twitter following the incident saying he is trying to make himself at home in “Tompa Bay”

Brady and the Buccaneers will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV on Feb. 7.
