ORLANDO, Fla. (WESH) – A Florida man from Celebration has filed a lawsuit claiming that she was struck by a bird and severely injured as she walked on a dock at the Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World, documents show.
The site where the alleged incident took place is one in which visitors can take a boat across the Seven Seas Lagoon to the Magic Kingdom, or another resort, according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit said that on May 12, the Florida man, Lisa Dixon, who had been at Walt Disney World as a business invitee, “sustained bodily injury that resulted in pain and suffering.”
The lawsuit claims that Walt Disney World, “Negligently failed to take reasonable care in maintaining and keeping its premises in a reasonably safe condition,” and that it “negligently failed to maintain or adequately maintain the dock in a reasonably safe condition.”
The following statement was provided by a Disney spokesperson: “We will respond to the allegations, as appropriate, in court.”
